How we collect, use, and look after your information when you register for the Big Aussie BBQ.
The Big Aussie BBQ is hosted by America Josh LLC. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit bigaussiebbq.com and register for the event.
When you register for a free ticket, we collect the full name of each person in your party, your email address, your phone number, and any dietary requirements you choose to share.
When you visit the site, we also receive the basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as your device and browser type.
We use your details to register you, send your confirmation and tickets, share important updates before and on the day, and plan enough food, drink, and space for everyone.
We also use your email and phone number to keep you posted about the Big Aussie BBQ and the Australian community in New York.
We contact you by email and text message (through our email and SMS providers) about your registration and the event. By registering, you agree to receive these messages.
You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a text or using the unsubscribe link in any email. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the event — such as our email and SMS providers — and with our organizers and volunteers as needed to run the day.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
The event is photographed and filmed for community and promotional use, as set out in the participation waiver. If you'd prefer not to be photographed, let a member of the crew know on the day.
You can ask us to update or delete your details, or unsubscribe from our messages, at any time by emailing hello@bigaussiebbq.com. We keep your registration details for as long as needed to run the event and stay in touch about the community, unless you ask us to remove them.
Questions about your privacy? Email hello@bigaussiebbq.com. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York.
