Subway

  • 1 to Chambers St — walk west toward the river (about 8 minutes).
  • E to World Trade Center, then west through Brookfield Place to the waterfront.
  • 2 or 3 to Park Place, or A / C to Chambers St, then a short walk west.
  • R / W to Cortlandt St or Rector St if you're coming from Brooklyn or Midtown.

NYC Ferry

  • The loveliest way to arrive — on the water. Take the ferry to the Battery Park City / Vesey St landing.
  • From the pier it's a flat 5-minute stroll north along the esplanade to Rockefeller Park.

PATH

  • From New Jersey (Hoboken, Newport, Jersey City), take the PATH to World Trade Center.
  • Head west through Brookfield Place and up the Hudson River esplanade to the park.

Bus

  • The M20 runs down to South End Ave / Battery Park City — a short walk from the park.
  • The M22 serves the Battery Park City / Chambers St area too.

Bike & Citi Bike

  • The Hudson River Greenway runs right past the park — a flat, protected ride the whole way.
  • Citi Bike docks sit along North End Ave and the esplanade nearby.

On foot

  • It's an easy, mostly-flat walk from Tribeca, the Financial District, or the World Trade Center.
  • Aim for the Hudson River waterfront and head north — you'll spot the Aussie flags and bunting.

Driving & parking

  • Street parking in Battery Park City is very limited, so transit or the ferry is easier.
  • If you must drive, there are paid garages at Brookfield Place and along North End Ave.
